The Learning Resource Center of Polk County, Inc. (LRC) was founded by the Junior League of Greater Lakeland, Inc. in 1975 to help students by providing personalized supplemental education programs and consulting services for parents.
The Lighthouse was officially established as a not for profit agency in 1985 by a group of people who themselves, were visually impaired. Together with the support of area eye specialists and community donors, these volunteers spent countless hours to secure funding and the 501(c) 3 status for the agency originally known as Mana-Sota Lighthouse for the Blind.
Our Vision: Ending Human-Trafficking by Mentoring and Educating those affected by it, in order for them to Discover their Authentic Identity while Motivating others to take charge of Changing Systems and Ideologies that Fuel its Root Causes.
Lighthouse Ministries is set apart by the Spirit of God to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to meet the physical, emotional, and other needs of the poor and at-risk population.

We believe that a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief guides us in everything we do. It inspires us to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids we serve.
New Life Center for Family Preservation's mission is to help homeless women experiencing unplanned pregnancies find new life in Jesus Christ by meeting their spiritual, emotional and tangible needs.
