Xia Martin Sports Scholarship Recipient

My name is Xia Nicole Martin and I’m applying for funding for my 2021-22 travel volleyball season. I was truly blessed last year to receive this much-needed scholarship from your foundation. This scholarship helped pave the way to play in different tournaments, gain exposure, receive much-needed instruction and training from the great coaching staff at JJVA. Because of the exposure that your resources helped provide, I was awarded several honors including one of “In the Game Magazine’s” top volleyball players in NE Florida and WJXT Channel 4 & Vystar’s Athlete of The Week, just to name a few. I stand before you again asking that I be approved for a second round of resources as the new volleyball travel season tryouts are upon us. The resources your foundation provides are vital towards my ultimate goal of playing Division I volleyball at the collegiate level and beyond. Going into my junior year, it is crucial that I play in as many tournaments as possible, continue to receive training and instruction, and get in front of as many college coaches as humanly possible. Unfortunately, my parents can’t afford to send me, as covid has truly been a burden financially to my family. I pray that you will consider awarding me another round of funding to help me to play another great year of travel volleyball. Please help me to achieve my dream of playing on the collegiate level.

Xia Martin

Mrs. Lana, I cannot express my gratitude without tears in my eyes and joy in my heart. Thank you so much for your foundation and for awarding my children this scholarship. May God continue to bless your organization because for children all over the world who are faced with so much opposition to be blessed in this way, is truly remarkable.

Thank you and God bless you!

A Grateful Mom

The Larry Libertore Youth Sports Scholarship is helping young athletes, ages 11 to 18, with the financial obligations they incur during their competitive sports ventures. From high school sports and recreational leagues to competitive travel team fees, The Larry Libertore Youth Sports Scholarship enables student-athletes to reach for the stars... but it's more than that. We included the note from a mom because the financial burden parents face encouraging their sons and daughters in sports can be tremendous. The average pair of youth cleats is $60 and a competition tech swimsuit can range from $115 to $400+, not to mention the ongoing team fees and costs during travel competitions. When you donate to The Libertore Fund for The Larry Libetore Youth Sports Scholarship, you're delivering hope to the next generation of superstars!
