About The Arts Scholarship
Research consistently shows that engagement in the arts leads to higher academic performance, boosts self-esteem, and enhances communication skills. We want to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent talented and motivated children from accessing the high-quality arts experience they deserve. The LibFund Arts Scholarship aims to support tuition and fees for children wishing to attend camps or classes at reputable institutions, such as performing arts centers, museums, and community centers.
Our hope is that the recipients will realize long-term benefits that will positively impact various aspects of their lives. Benefits such as:
- Achieving higher grades, have improved reading and math skills, and be more likely to graduate from high school, and pursue higher education.
- Developing creativity and imaginative thinking which are valuable in all areas of life, including future careers, where innovative problem-solving and creative thinking are highly prized.
- Enhancing critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills that contribute to better performance in other academic subjects and daily life challenges.
- Building self-esteem and confidence by gaining a sense of accomplishment and pride in their accomplishments, which translates into a more positive self-image and greater resilience.
- Realizing therapeutic benefits by reducing stress, anxiety, and depression, giving them an outlet for emotional expression, and helping them develop coping mechanisms for dealing with life’s challenges.
